Integration with Tabs
Tabs and Sphere share data automatically at every step of the invoice lifecycle:
- Tabs calls Sphere’s tax API at invoice load (estimate) and send (final), so the filed number matches what you saw.
- Address updates are validated against Sphere before send. Invalid addresses block sending until fixed.
- Sphere pulls customers, products, invoices, and credit memos from Tabs daily to manage tax codes and exemptions, including VAT/EIN validation.
- Products without a tax code mapping block sending, and Tabs links you directly to Sphere to fix it.
- Valid exemption certificates in Sphere automatically exclude taxes, so exemptions don’t need setup in Tabs.
